Kathmandu, Nepal: candidates are going to file their nominations under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system for the second phase of federal and provincial elections that is scheduled for December 7, on Thursday.
 
Candidates from different political parties and the independent category are filing their nominations at the respective offices of chief elections officers and election officers from 10am to 5pm. 
 
All the leaders including the top leaders from the different political parties have reached on their respective districts to file their candidacy. 
 
The second phase of elections is going to be held in 45 districts for 128 federal seats and 256 provincial seats.
 
The Election Commission (EC) has already set a calendar that any complaints against the nominated candidates can be registered on November 3. The EC will examine the complaints registered against the candidates on November 4. 
 
Likewise, the EC has fixed November 5 to withdrawal the candidacy. The final list of candidates is going to be published and election symbols will be distributed on November 5. .
