Chitwan, Nepal: Death toll of a bus accident at Chitwan has reached eight after three persons breathed their last during the course of treatment at  Bharatpur of Chitwan. 

The ill-fated bus with registration number Na 6 Kha 2506 that was en route from Kathmandu to Pokhara met with the accident after it collided with the truck with registration number Na 5 Kha 7409 that was coming from the opposite direction and plunged about 100 meters onto the bank of the river along Prithvi Highway, at Chumlingtar on Friday afternoon. 

Among the 29 passengers of the ill-fated bus, five had died on the spot while remaining three dead while receiving treatment at the hospital.  The details about the deceased are yet to be ascertained. Injured passengers have been receiving treatment at Bharatpur. It is said that seven more people have been receiving treatment at critical condition.
