Kathmandu, Nepal, May 9, 2021: Constitutional Council (CC) has recommended some names to appoint in the constitutional bodies including the Public Service Commission (PSC).
A meeting of the CC held on Sunday morning at Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s official resident, recommended some names to fulfill the vacant positions in the constitutional bodies.
Though the names of the recommended persons are not revealed yet officially, it is said that some names were recommended to even to fulfill the vacant positions in the Woman Commission and other constitutional bodies.
In the meeting held in the pretense of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana and Upper House President Ganesh Prasad Timalsena including Prime Minister Oli took the decision to this effect.
Earlier, main opposition party leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and House Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota had declared not to present in the meeting protesting the government’s move to issue the ordinance related to the CC.
