Kathmandu, Nepal, December 31, 2020: Coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 260,593 after 534 new cases recorded across the country in the past 24 hours.
Of the total newly infected cases, 196 are females while 338 are males. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, of the newly recorded cases, 247 surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone.
Likewise, 447 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 252,359.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 1856 after nine fatalities related to the virus reported in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 6,378 active cases across the country. Of them, only 362 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across the country.
