Kathmandu, Nepal, August 22, 2021: Nepal records 1,702 new cases of coronavirus infections from across the country in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide infection tally has advanced to 747,733.

Meanwhile, 2,248 people, who had infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after getting recovered in the past 24 hours. With the addition, recovery tally of the country has advanced to 698,173.

Likewise, 24 more fatalities related to the coronavirus infections, have been recorded in the past 24 hours. With the addition, mortality tally has advanced to 10,509.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) 12,516 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Of the total tests, 9,443 were PCR tests while 3,073 were antigen tests, states the MoHP.
