Kathmandu, Nepal, Jan 10, 2020: Coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 264,780 after 259 new cases reported in the past 24 hours. Of the total newly recoded cases, 99 are females while 160 are males.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly infected cases, 126 surfaced in Kathmandu valley alone.
Likewise, 513 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 258,441.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus advanced to 1,917 after five more fatalities related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 4,422 active cases across the country. Of them, only 257 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities.
