Kathmandu, Nepal, August 15, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) tally has reached to 26,019 after 468 new cases identified in past 24 hours. 

According to Dr. Jageshowr Gautam, spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, 468 new cases confirmed after testing 11,047 specimens through PCR method in the last 24 hours.

Among the newly reported cases, 98 new cases were reported from Kathmandu Valley alone.

Likewise, 124 persons, who were tested earlier positive of coronavirus have been discharged from health facilities across the country in the past 24 hours. 

With the recent additions, total numbers of recoveries cases have reached to 17,201.

During the regular press briefing, spokesperson Gautam also informed that there are 8,193 active cases have remained in the country.

Similarly, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has reached to 102 after three persons died in the past 24 hours.
