Kathmandu, Nepal, March 4, 2021: The Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has informed the parliament secretariat on Thursday that some leaders of the rival faction including the parliamentary party leader and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, deputy leader Subash Nembang and Whip Shanta Chaudhary and others have been ousted from the party.

A group of leaders of the Dahal-Nepal led faction of the ruling NCP including chief whip Deb Gurung reached the secretariat’s office in Singha Durbar on Thursday to informed the party decision. 

Central Working Committee meeting of the faction held on January 24 had decided to expel Prime Minister Oli on the charge of violating the party’s norms and values. Likewise, central committee meeting of the party held on Wednesday decided to expel Nembang and others.
