Kathmandu, Nepal, July 19, 2021: Newly elected Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has been receiving congratulatory message from world leaders.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan have congratulated Deuba for becoming the Prime Minister of Nepal.
India Prime Minister Modi, who had also congratulated yesterday through his twitter account after Deuba won vote of confidence from the parliament, held a telephonic conversation on Monday afternoon.
During the conversation, both the Prime Ministers asserted to work together to further enhance the wide-ranging cooperation between the two countries, including in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Indian Prime Minister has also assured Nepal of an early supply of Covid-19 vaccines.
Similarly, Pakistani Prime Minister Khan also congratulated Deuba for winning a vote of confidence in parliament through his twitter account on Monday.
Pakistan looks forward to further deepening its cordial ties with Nepal and would continue to work closely with Nepal on issues of common interest, Pakistani Prime Minister has stated in the message.
Likewise, Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Kikuta Yutaka also extended his congratulations to the newly-appointed Prime Minister Deuba.
In the congratulatory message, Japanese Ambassador Yutaka has stated that Nepal and Japan have been enjoying excellent bilateral relations based on the long history of mutual friendship and cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1956.
