Kathmandu, Nepal, Aug. 2, 2022: Dr Bishnu Maya Pariyar, a noted Nepali-American social activist, got featured in a government school curriculum in the Massachusetts State of the United States of America (USA).
According to the news reports of RSS, the national news agency of Nepal, the government school curriculum for grade 7 in Massachusetts incorporates a chapter about Dr Pariyar under the subject of World's History and Geography.
The chapter, which is going to be implemented at all government-run schools in the state from the next academic session, is being assisted by video contents and slides that includes eight slide shows to introduce Dr Pariyar and about caste-based discrimination and untouchability in Nepal.
The chapter also incorporates a documentary 'untouchable' surrounding the life-struggle story of Dr Pariyar.
Pariyar, who currently resides in the US, was born on December 19, 1973 in Taklung village of Gorkha district in Nepal.
