Katmandu, Nepal, December 25, 2019: The Election Commission (EC) has granted election symbols to the 11 political parties contesting in the upcoming National Assembly (NA) election scheduled for upcoming January 23.
According to the EC, almost all the parties have got the same election symbols what they had used in the past. The ruling head Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has got Sun as election symbol while main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has got tree.
Likewise, Rastriya Janata Party got inclined umbrella, Socialist Party got palm along with five fingers, Rastriya Prajatantra Party got cow Rastriya Prajatantra Party (United) got plough, Nepal Federal Socialist Party got bus, Nepal Janata Dal got wheel of oxen cart, Rastriya Janamorcha got glass, Nepal Workers and Peasants' Party got Madal, a Nepali musical instrument, and Itihasik Prajatantrik Janata Party got tractor.
