Kathmandu, Nepal, April 23, 2020: Samajwadi Party and Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) have submitted the application for registration of their newly unified party at Election Commission (EC) on Thursday.
As both the parties had agreed on Wednesday midnight to merge the two parties, the leaders of both the parties had reached at the Election Commission on Thursday to register their application.
In the joint application, Sharat Singh Bhandari has signed on behalf of RJPN while Upendra Yadav had signed on behalf of the Samajwadi Party.
With the merger, the new party is named as People’s Socialist Party (Janata Samajwadi Party)
