Kathmandu, Nepal, February 20, 2021: Finally the Nepal government has tabled the much waited Millenniums Challenge Corporation (MCC) in the federal parliament on Sunday.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki tabled the MCC on behalf of Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma as the latter denied table the MCC in the pretext of falling ill to present in the parliament.

Being the finance minister, Sharma should have tabled the MCC in the parliament on behalf of the Nepal government as then finance minister Karki, who is now Minister for Communications and Information Technology had signed the agreement in 2017 in the capacity of the finance minister on behalf of the Nepal government.

As the ruling ally CPN Maoist Center has still been hesitating to come up openly in favor of endorsing the MCC from the parliament, finance minister Sharma had pretend to have fall ill and denied to present in the parliament to table the MCC.

However, the meeting of the ruling allies of the five parties including the Maoist Center held at the official resident of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba of Sunday morning had decided to table the MCC in the parliament.
