Biratnagar, Nepal: Fire has claimed the lives of four members of a family at Harkapur of Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-3 in Morang district at wee hour on Thursday.
As the fire took place at a two-storey wooden house of one Chandra Bahadur Rai, 55, he and his 86-year-old mother Gangamaya Rai, wife Parwata Rai, 46 and sister Bishnu Maya Rai, 44, were killed, the police has informed.
The house has turned into ashes when the fire brigades from Biratnagar, Itahari and Damak with security personnel had reached to douse the fire. As the fire had broke out at the time when all the family members were asleep, it became impossible to save the lives, the local have informed.
