Kathmandu, Nepal, June 16, 2020: The five foreign tourists, who were arrested on the charge of taking part in the protests launched against of the government, will be deported even fining and banning them from entering in for two years.

Police had arrested three Chinese nationals and one each national of United States of America, Australia and Norway during protest launched by the youths demanding better tests and quarantine facilities of  COVID-19 suspects and transparency of government’s expenditure made on the name of containing the virus on Saturday in Kathmandu.

Ramesh Kumar KC, the director general of Nepal's Department of Immigration has said that the Chinese and USA tourists were fined 10,000 Nepali rupees each and the Australian was fined double for taking pictures of the protests. 

According to him, the Norwegian woman was fined just 5,000-rupee because of the reason that she has married to a Nepali man. It is said that the five tourists will be deported to their respective countries after international flights resume.
