Kathmandu, Nepal, August 9, 2022:Minister of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Dr. Narayan Khadka is leaving for Qingdao, China today for three day official visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi. 


Foreign Minister Dr. Khadka led 11 member Nepali delegation is scheduled to hold delegation-level bilateral talks with Yi led Chinese delegation of August 10. It is said that the discussion would be focused on bilateral issues related to cooperation. 

The MoFA has officially stated about the visit of Foreign Minister Dr. Khadka to China from August 9-11, 2022 sans revealing about the issues and agendas of the discussion during the visit. According to MoFA, Dr. Khadka and his led delegation will return home on August 11, 2022.    

As this is first high-level visit of Nepal to China since the formation of incumbent Sher Bahadur Deuba led government in July last year, it is taken importantly from different sectors. 

FM Khadka's visit to China follows two back-to-back visits by Yi and Liu Jianchao, head of the Chinese Communist Party's international department, in March and July.
