Kathmandu, Nepal, November 4, 2020: Sita Mahara, the wife of former Speaker of House of Representatives Krishna Bahadur Mahara, died of the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection on Wednesday.

Sita Mahara, 51, breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Thapthali of Kathmandu based Norvic Hospital on Wednesday morning.

She was admitted at the hospital since two weeks after she fall sick at her home at Rolpa district. Lately, she was tested positive of COVID-19. 

Various dignitaries including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota  have expressed sorrow on the demise of former speaker's wife Sita Mahara.
