Kathmandu, Nepal, September 6, 2022: A delegation of France-Nepal Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group in French Senate led by Daniel Salmon is in Nepal at the invitation of the Chairperson of Nepal France Inter Parliamentary Group Madhav Kumar Nepal. 

The delegation has called on Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Narayan Khadka on Monday and exchanged views on a range of issues including development cooperation, trade and investment, climate change as well as importance of parliamentary exchanges.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Minister Dr Khadka thanked the French delegation members for the assistance including the support provided during COVID-19.

The Embassy of France in Kathmandu has stated by issuing a statement that the visiting French parliamentary delegation will pay courtesy calls on President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota, National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and other top leaders of different political parties.

The French delegate is also scheduled to hold interactions with members of the private sector, experts on climate change and others, reads the statement issued by the French Embassy.
