Kathmandu, Nepal, December 26, 2021: General Convention of the CPN Maoist Center is being commenced today in Kathmandu. The convening is being inaugurated at Kamaladi based Nepal Academy amid a function at 3:00 pm on Sunday.
Though the party had made preparation for the national gathering, a central committee meeting of the party held on Sunday morning decided to convert into general convention.
According to Spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the central committee meeting endorsed the decision of the standing committee to convert the national gathering into general convention.
Likewise, the meeting has also decided to expand the office bearer posts into 15 with the new provision of one president, one senior vice president, six vice presidents, one general secretary, two joint general secretaries, three secretaries and one treasurer.
