Kathmandu, Nepal: The Nepali feature film I Am Jeet Bahadur has officially entered its theatrical run across the country from Friday, following the established weekly release window observed by the Nepali film industry.

With no competing new domestic releases this week, the film has benefitted from a solo release slot, allowing it wider initial screen allocation in multiplexes and single-screen theatres nationwide. However, the film has not achieved full-screen occupancy, as previously released titles such as Lalibazaar and Roll Number 1, along with select international films, continue to hold ongoing screenings across various circuits.

Backed by actor Jitu Nepal in a producer–lead role, the film delivers an emotionally grounded coming-of-age narrative. It follows the journey of a young aspiring artist who migrates from a rural background to the city, navigating hardship, rejection, and resilience in pursuit of a place in the creative industry.

Directed and written by Indian Bengali filmmaker Subhendu Ghosh, the film brings together a cross-border creative team, blending Nepali storytelling with international technical collaboration. Actress Barsha Raut stars opposite Jitu Nepal in the lead pair, forming the central emotional axis of the narrative.

The ensemble cast features Priyanka Karki, Sandeep Chhetri, Deshbhakta Khanal, Pawan Khatiwada ‘Baba’, Niraj Nepal, and Ansu Maharjan in key supporting roles, contributing to the film’s layered character-driven storytelling.

Produced under the banner of Karmabhumi Creation, the project is backed by executive producers Nishchal Kunwar and Niraj Nepal, with Rajan Sinkhada and Dipendra Adhikari serving as co-producers. The film’s cinematography has been handled by Indian cinematographer Arvind, while post-production work was completed in India, ensuring a polished technical finish.

Distributed by RR Films, I Am Jeet Bahadur now enters its nationwide box-office run, with expectations centered on word-of-mouth reception and audience connection to its emotionally resonant, performance-driven narrative.
