Kathmandu, Nepal, June 26, 2021: Dissident leader of the ruling CPN UML Madhav Kumar Nepal has claimed that the establishment faction has offered him to become a new Prime Minister.
Though I was offered to become a new Prime Minister, but I rejected because I do not want to betray the opposition alliance, leader Nepal said while speaking at a press conference on Saturday.
Leader Nepal has revealed so at the time when second rung leaders even from his camp have been intensifying efforts to bury the differences.
I am clear that the offer was made for nothing but to break the alliance made to fight against the authoritarian attitude of KP Oli, Nepal said.
During the press conference, leaders of the opposition alliance including Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and others also spoke about the relevance of the alliance formed among the opposition parties.
