Kathmandu, Nepal, January 30, 2020: its official that bird flu (H5N8) has been detected in Kathmandu valley on Saturday.
The government has confirmed that bird flu has been detected at a farm in Tarkeshwor Municipality-7 in Kathmandu district.
Issuing a press statement, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has confirmed to this effect.
As the deadly H5N8 virus has been reported in several states of India for the last few days, it was being feared that Nepal would be affected from the deadly virus.
