Kathmandu, Nepal, July 8, 2020: The Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal has been formally registered at the Election Commission (EC) on Thursday.
The EC has certified the newly registered party formed by merging the Samajwadi Party-Nepal and Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal.
Following the party decision to merge both the party on the name of Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal, both the parties had failed an application at the US demanding unification on April 22.
In the unified party, Mahantha Thakur and Upendra Yadav are the two co-chairpersons of the unified party.
