Kathmandu, Nepal, December 20, 2022: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has provided financial support of Rs 1 million to the earthquake victims of Purbichauki Rural Municipality of Doti district.


KMC Mayor Balen Shah has said that the support was provided under the heading of disaster management of the KMC. The financial assistance amount was handed over to the Chairman of Purbichauki Rural Municipality, Ram Prasad Upadhyaya.

The earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale occurred on November 9 had claimed the lives of six people in Purbichauki Rural Municipality and damaged about 3,800 houses in other parts of the district.
