Kathmandu, Nepal, June 13, 2022: A delegation of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) led by party Chairman Mahantha Thakur has called on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Monday. 

The LSP delegation reached out at the official resident of Prime Minister Deuba at the time when discussions were intensified among the parties over the issue of reshuffling the cabinet. Almost all the senior leaders of the party including Rajendra Mahato and Sharat Singh Bhandari were also included in the delegation.

It is said that discussions were held over the issue of participating the LSP in the government. However, none of the sides have revealed about the LSP’s possible participation in the government. 

Prime Minister Deuba has been offering the LSP with two ministerial portfolios in the cabinet. The LSP, however, has been demanding three ministerial portfolios in the cabinet with share in the provincial government as well. 

The party had already submitted 11-point demand so as to make ground to participate in the government.  

Prime Minister Deuba has already agreed to fulfill its almost all demands including tabulation of the citizenship act so as to grant citizenship to the offspring of people possessing citizenship by birth.
