Kathmandu, Nepal, May 1, 2020: Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party in the parliament, has demanded an immediate investigation into the death of four children in a bomb explosion in Rolpa district.
Issuing a statement o Friday, NC Spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma has stated that the whole country including the NC itself has been saddened by the tragic death of minors due to bomb explosion.
Four children of the Triveni rural municipality of Rolpa district were killed when a stray bomb exploded on Thursday. The deceased children have been identified Nokhiram Dangi, 14, Gaurab Nepali, 13, Bimala Khatri, 11 and Bijaya Khatri, 5.
Extending his tributes to the departed souls of the children and condolence to the members of the grief-stricken families, the NC has demanded that the government should be serious about its responsibility to save the life of its citizens.
This incident is expected to make all sides serious in seeking sustainable solutions to the conflicts, states the press release adding that such an incident is serious and has saddened the country as wounds given by the decade-long insurgency are yet to be healed.
