Kathmandu, Nepal, January 25, 2022: Responding to the widespread criticism, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Renu Kumari Yadav has made attempt to clarify her controversial statement as ‘mass murder of cadres of CK Raut-led party could take place again as occurred in Rautahat in the past’ was not aimed to target at anyone personally.
Issuing a statement, on Monday, Minister Yadav has also expressed her sadness over people’s misunderstanding about her statement. She has also urged people not to exaggerate her statement. My statement was not meant personally and was not with a mindset of prejudice, she has stated in the statement adding ‘it was not mean to cause any violence and provoke anyone.
Addressing a program organized at Rautahat on January 19, Minister Yadav had expressed her agitation toward Janmat Party Chairman CK Raut’s so-called farmer protest stating that mass murder of cadres of CK Raut-led party could take place again hinting to the incident of mass murder occurred in 2007.
In the confrontation occurred in March 21, 2007 between Yadav affiliated then Madhesi Jana Adhikar Forum and then CPN (Maoist Center), as many as 27 Maoist cadres were killed in a cruel manner.
