Kathmandu, Nepal, January 31, 2020: Senior Superintendent of Nepal Police Saurabh Rana has been suspended on the charge of sexually abusing a woman on Friday.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) suspended Rana for further investigation. Following the decision, the MoHA has also directed the Nepal Police Headquarters to carry out further probe into the case.
It is said that Rana would be arrested soon on the charge of sexually abusing a woman of Dharan. Rana is also currently working at Federal Police Unit, Dharan.
The MoHA reached on the conclusion to suspend Rana after the woman complained that she was sexually abused by Rana in November. She had also met Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai.
