Kathmandu, Nepal: At least two persons of a family killed when a truck hauling Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) overturning at Bishaltar along the Prithvi Highway in Dhading on Sunday.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Gita Nepali,35, of ward member of Rorang Rural Municipality and her daughter Sunita Nepali, 17. It is said that the mother-daughter were on their way to Chandrodaya Secondary School to fill up grade 11 registration form.
The LPG truck with number plate UP 75 AJ 5208 which was en route to Kathmandu from Raxaul had overturned after hitting the pedestrian Nepali mother and daughter.
As the truck had caught fire after it overturned and fell about 20 meters below the highway. Truck driver Bhola Kumar, 26 of India is detained by the police for further investigation.
