Kathmandu, Nepal: National anthem writer Pradeep Kumar Rai, who is popularly known as Byakul Maila, has been bereaved of his father Man Bahadur Rai, 71, at wee hour on Friday.
According to the reports, Maila’s father Rai breathed his last at his residence at Hilepani in Okhaldhunga district at 1:00 am on Friday. It is said that he was suffering from multiple ailments including hematoma and diabetes.
It is said that Rai’s final rite would be performed by today itself as per the ethnic traditions of the Rai community. The late Rai is survived by two wives and three sons including Maila.
