Kathmandu, Nepal, January 22, 2020: coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 268,948 after 302 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Of the newly recorded total infection cases, 133 are females while 169 are males.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 112 new cases surfaced in Kathmandu valley alone in the past 24 hours.
The Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, has been hosting highest number of active cases since few past months.
Likewise, 480 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 263,348.
Meanwhile, death toll related to the coronavirus infection has advanced to 1986 after seven more fatalities recorded in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 3,614 active cases across the country. Of them, only 158 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities.
