Kathmandu Nepal, July 21, 2020: The Nepal government has decided to lift the lockdown from Tuesday midnight. 

The government has made the decision to lift the lockdown after about four months long lockdown.  Responding to the global pandemic of coronavirus, the government had enforced nationwide lockdown on March 24.

Government’s spokesperson Yubraj Khatiwada made the announcement on Tuesday stating that the government has decided to lift the restrictions imposed to contain the spread of coronavirus infection on March 24.

According to him, a cabinet meeting held on Friday had made the decision to lift the nationwide lift of lockdown at the recommendation of the Ministry of Health and Population. With the decision, long-haul transport services are also allowed to resume from July 30. 

Likewise, the government has also decided to resume all international and domestic flights from August 17.

Similarly, the government has allowed the educational institutions to run the admission drive and examinations from August 17.
