Kathmandu, Nepal, July 2, 2021: The dissident faction of the ruling CPN UML led by party’s senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal has decided to boycott the central committee meeting of the party scheduled today at Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s official resident, Baluwatar.
The establishment faction of the party led by Oli had called the central committee meeting after taking decision to reach the party before the stage of unification with the CPN Maoist Center.
Though the dissident faction had been forwarding the demand to reach the party before the stage of unification with the CPN Maoist, it has decided to boycott the meeting stating that the meeting was called sans consultations.
The dissident faction has been alleging the establishment faction of not showing seriousness to address the dissenting voices to keep the party intact.
