Kathmandu, Nepal, July 19, 2021: Nepal recorded 1,642 new cases of coronavirus infections from across the country in the past 24 hours on Monday. With the addition, nationwide infection tally has reached to 668,751.

Of the total newly recorded cases, 474 new infections were recorded in Kathmandu valley alone, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has stated. 

Meanwhile, 1,258 people, who had infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after getting recovered in the past 24 hours. With the addition, recovery tally of the country has reached to 633,332.

Similarly, 32 more deaths related to the coronavirus infections have been recorded in the past 24 hours. With the addition, death tally of the country has advanced to 9,582.

According to the MoHP, 11,664 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Of the total tests conducted in the past 24 hours, 7,833 were PCR tests while 3,831 were antigen tests. A total of 3,477,518 PCR tests have been conducted out so far.

There are currently 25,837 active cases of coronavirus infections across the country. Of them, only 304 individuals are staying in institutional quarantine facilities.
