Kathmandu, Nepal, August 31, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally reached to 39,460 after 899 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) revealed so during a regular virtual press briefing on Monday.
According to Jageshowr Gautam, spokesperson for the MoHP, of the 899 people infected persons, 303 are female while 596 are male.
Likewise, 588 people, who were earlier tested positive of virus, have been discharged after recovery. With the new addition, Nepal’s recovery toll stands to 21,410.
Similarly, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus reached to 228 in Nepal after seven more fatalities registered during the past 24 hours.
