Kathmandu, Nepal, October 12, 2021: The government has initiated process to purchase 6 million doses of Pfizer-BioNtech Covid-19 vaccine with the aim to vaccinate the adolescents between ages of 12 to 18. 

It is said that the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has made a plan to sign on the deal with the manufacturers of the Pfizer-BioNtech Covid-19 vaccine within two weeks under a non-disclosure agreement. 

Earlier, Nepal government had made non-disclosure agreement with Sinopharm to purchase 10 million doses of Vero Cell vaccine from China.
