Kathmandu, Nepal, Dec 6, 2019:  Nepal has won more gold medals in the ongoing 13th edition of South Asian Games (SAG).

Gaurika Singh has won her second gold medal at the South Asian Games on Friday. The Teen sensation swimmers Singh has won her second gold medal in the women’s 200 meters backstroke event. She completed the competition at 2:17.73 minutes. 

India’s Manna Rajiv Patel won the silver medal by completing the completion at clocked 2:20.71. Likewise, Sri Lanka’s Ganga S D Sen Malwaththage claimed the bronze medal with a timing of 2:27.25 minutes. 

Likewise, Bikash Thapa has claimed a gold medal in men's weightlifting 89 kg category.

Similarly, Sanju Chaudhary claimed first gold medals in the weightlifting. In the 59 kg category, Chaudhary lifted 74 kg in snatch and 97 kg in clean and jerk to win the gold at a total of 171 kg. 

Likewise, Subash Tamang, 17, has won two gold medals in men's golf and Tanka Bahadur Karki, Shukra Bahadru Rai and Nirak Tamang including Subash won gold in the team event of golf.

Similarly, Gopi Chand Parki has won the first gold medal for Nepal in men's 5,000m run.
