Kathmandu, Nepal: Early vote counting has pointed that Nepali Congress, the largest party in the parliament, would face tight competition with the main opposition party CPN UML.
The vote counting held till now has suggested that there will be a tight race between Nepali Congress and CPN-UML in most of the local units.
CPN Maoist Center has stand in the third stand while fourth largest party Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Nepal Loktantrik Forum (NLF), Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Naya Shakti Nepal and Rastriya Prajatantra Party are also showing their presence in some local units.
The second phases of local level elections were held in 35 districts of three provinces. Altogether 62,408 candidates were in the race for 15,038 positions at 334 local units.
