Kathmandu, Nepal, June 19, 2019: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government has continued its mistake by not withdrawing the controversial Guthi Bill from the Parliament.

Speaking at the parliament, Deuba, who is also the leader of the main opposition said, the government had to be withdrawn the bill immediately after its announcement but it has not been withdrawn from the parliament yet.

‘The government has been presenting with undemocratic culture by not allowing me to address the parliament session on Tuesday,’ Deuba said ‘there is general practice that Prime Minister should be allowed to speak only after the leader of the opposition’.

During his address, he also demanded to amend the controversial Media Council Bill responding the concerns of the media persons and securing the constitutionally guaranteed press freedom.
