Kathmandu, Nepal, July 5, 2021: Nepal's has recorded 1,745 new coronavirus infection cases from across the country in the past 24 hours on Monday. With the addition, nationwide infection tally has advanced to 646,367.
Meanwhile, 2,211 people, who had infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after getting recovered in the past 24 hours. With the addition, recovery tally of the country has advanced to 611,429. Nepal's coronavirus recovery rate stands at 94.6 percent.
Similarly, 23 more fatalities related to the coronavirus infections have been recorded in the past 24 hours. With the addition, nationwide fatalities tally has advanced to 9,248. Nepal’s fatality rate stands at 1.5 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) 11,527 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Of the total tests, 7,499 were PCR tests while 4,028 were antigen tests. So far, Nepal government has conducted a total of 3,376,041 PCR tests in different labs across the country.
There are currently 25,690 active cases across the country. Of them, only 317 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
