Kathmandu, Nepal, August 21, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus infection cases tally have reached to 30,483 after 838 new cases detected across the country including 182 in Kathmandu valley in the past 24 hours.
According to Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), said during a regular press briefing that among the 838 newly detected new cases, 546 are males while 292 are females.
The new infections cases were confirmed after testing 13,589 specimens through PCR method in the last 24 hours. A total of 579,899 PCR tests have been conducted so far, spokesperson Gautam said during the press conferences.
Likewise, 250 coronavirus patients infected earlier with the virus have been discharged after recovery from various isolation centers in the past 24 hours. With the new additions, a total of 18,214 persons have been discharged after recovery.
