Kathmandu, Nepal, November 1, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus infection tally has reached to 173,567 after 2,824 new cases reported in the past 24 hours. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Kathmandu valley alone recorded 1,622 new cases on Sunday. 

Among the newly recorded cases in Kathmandu valley, Kathmandu district alone recorded 1,362 while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts reported 164 and 96 cases respectively.

Likewise, 2,264 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours.  

With the new addition, Nepal’s recovery tally has reached to 134,842. There are 37,765 active coronavirus cases across the country. 

Similarly, death toll linked to coronavirus infection reached to 960 after 23 more fatalities related to the virus reported in the past 24 hours.

The MoHP has also stated that 2,824 new cases were recorded while carrying out 13,023 PCR tests in different labs across the country in the last 24 hours.
