Kathmandu, Nepal, October 28, 2021: The newly appointed chief minister (CM) of Bagmati Province, Rajendra Pandey, took the oath of office and secrecy. Bagmati Province Chief Yadav Chandra Sharma administered the oath to Pandey as the chief minister of Bagmati Province amid a function on Thursday.
CPN (Unified Socialist) Pandey was appointed as the chief minister after he claimed the post with majority votes in the provincial assembly. As CPN UML leader Ashta Laxmi Shakya resigned from the post after she fell in minority on Wednesday.
The newly appointed chief minister Pandey is backed by the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP).
