Kathmandu, Nepal, July 16, 2021: Northern neighbor China has decided to donate additional 1.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal.
During a meeting with the newly-appointed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi announced to donate additional 1.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal.
Chinese Ambassador Yanqi announced an additional grant assistance of 1.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal, states the press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
During the meeting Ambassador Yanqi also conveyed the message of the Chinese government to continue its support to Nepal to combat COVID-19 pandemic.
Prime Minister Deuba thanked the government of China for its continued support to Nepal in different sectors expressing hope that such a support would continue in days to come.
