Kathmandu, Nepal, September 27, 2022: A noted American ski mountaineer, Hilaree Nelson, went missing at Mt Manaslu. She went missing apparently after falling into a crevasse while attempting to ski down a peak on Monday morning.
It is reported that Nelson reportedly fell into crevasse from just above the fore summit of the mountain when she along with Morrison skied from the real summit. It is said that she fell down around 25 metres into vertical crevasse and had gone missing.
As avalanche had lower down, at least one person died and 14 injured in the same mountain, Mt Manaslu. Before missing, she and her climbing partner, Jim Morrison, stood atop Manaslu, the world’s eighth-tallest peak.
