Kathmandu, Nepal: Nepal Students Union (NSU), the student wing of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has staged demonstration at different parts of Kathmandu Valley against of the transportation fare hike on Monday.
Hundreds of thousand students affiliated to the NSU chanted slogans demanding withdrawal of price hike in petroleum products and public transport fare during festival.
Traffic movements in different parts of the Kathmandu valley was disturbed after NSU staged demonstration in front of the different campus including Exhibition Road, Thapathali Campus, Pashupati Campus and among others.
The government had increased transportation fare by 10 percent on the name of addressing the demands raised by the transportation entrepreneurs.
