Scheduled to take place from August 20 to 28, the inaugural tournament aims to provide a sustainable professional career path for the nation’s top athletes, elevating a sport deeply woven into the country's fabric from a passionate pastime into a viable profession.

During a launch event on Thursday, organizers unveiled the league's six founding franchises: the Annapurna Spiker Kings, Karnali Shivraj, Kathmandu Reds, Khaptad Falcons, Madhesh Warriors, and Sagarmatha Smashers. The league structure also retains the flexibility to expand, with organizers noting that they have the option to add two more teams to the roster prior to the opening match in late August.

Operating under the official slogan "A New Flight of Height," the corporate partnership introduces a structured franchise model designed to support players through formal contracts, professional coaching, and robust corporate backing. As part of the long-term commercial agreement, the Kedia Group has committed to providing financial sponsorship of Rs 3.5 million annually to the association.
