Kathmandu, Nepal:  CPN Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal is the only candidate in the prime ministerial election that is going to be held on Wednesday.
 
Though Dahal has no competitor in the election for the post of Prime Minister, he has to be elected as the new Prime Minister through the majority votes in the parliament. 
 
As Nepali Congress has backed the Maoist Chair Dahal to the post of Prime Minister, he would be elected as the Prime Minister from the Legislature-Parliament that is scheduled to hold at 11 am on Wednesday.
 
Dahal had filed his nomination at 11: 26 on. He had reached at the parliament secretariat with the supporters to file his candidacy for the post of Prime Minister. Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has proposed Dahal as the Prime Minister. 
 
 Though the nomination deadline was fixed till 4:00 pm no other candidates dared to challenge Dahal in the Prime Ministerial election.  
 
There was a speculation that CPN-UML and its led alliance would field former Speaker Subas Chandra Nembang in the post of Prime Minister. But the UML did not filed any candidate, thanks to the internal differences in the party.
 
According to a source close to the UML, neither Neither Nembang nor other leaders had agreed to field any candidate in the post of Prime Minister. 
 
Though party chairman KP Oli  was in favor of fielding any candidate to challenge Dahal, none of the leaders stood in favor of party chairman Oli.   
 
Though the party did not field any candidate to challenge the Maoist chairman Dahal, the UML has decided to vote against him in the Prime Ministerial race.
