Kathmandu, Nepal, March 16, 2021: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has called an all-party meeting to discuss on contemporary political issues at her official residence in Shital Niwas at 4:00 PM today.
All the leaders of the political parties represent in the Federal Parliament and the former Prime Ministers are invited in meeting.
The President has called an all party meeting in the presence of former Prime Ministers at a time when the country has faced political turmoil on ranges of issues.
The president has called the meeting at the time when political stalemate has emerged in the country after she dissolved the parliament on December 20 in the recommendation of the government.
Though the dissolved parliament was reinstated from the Supreme Court (SC) order, the verdict of the SC to invalidate unification between CPN UML and the CPN (Maoist Center) has created a jolt in the national politics.
The ruling CPN-UML has also appears to be headed for a split after the party divided into two factions- one is led by Prime Minister and party chair KP Sharma Oli and another led by party’s senior leader duo Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal.
