Kathmandu, Nepal: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has reshuffled his cabinet relieving all the ministers representing the CPN Maoist Center from their portfolios.
The recently included ministers and state ministers from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) have been allocated ministries while the ministers from the CPN Maoist Centre ministers have been left without portfolios.
With the new reshuffle of ministers, RPP Chairman Kamal Thapa has been appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister, Dil Nath Giri as Minister for Urban Development, Jayanta Chand as Minister for Supplies, Bikram Thapa as Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare.
Similarly, Bhaskar Bhadra has been appointed as State Minister for Energy, Sushil Kumar Shrestha as State Minsiter for Supplies, Kunti Shahi as State Minister for Urban Development, Kanta Bhattarai has been appointed as State Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare.
Earlier it was said that the ministers from the Maoist party would resign from the government. But the Maoist backtracked from the decision.
